Circulation Procedures
   Pre-K: teachers check out books
Kinder and First Grade: one book
Second through Fifth Grades: two books

Each class is scheduled for a library session on a weekly basis.  Kinder and first graders keep library books in the classroom unless parents have given written permission to the teacher allowing students to take books home.  Second through fifth grade students are allowed to take books home.  Books are due at the time of the scheduled library class.  Books may be renewed, but books must accompany students during their scheduled library time.  If the books are not returned on time, students will not be allowed to check out other books.
Overdue and Lost Books
Rancho Verde Elementary does not charge overdue fees.  Overdue notices are given to the students after the second week of class.  Students will not be allowed the privilege of taking other books until overdue books are returned or paid for.  Students and parents are responsible for payment of damaged or lost books.
If a student transferring from another Los Fresnos FCISD school owes a lost book or has not returned books to their former library, he/she will not be allowed to check books out at Rancho Verde's library until books are returned or paid for.
